ISRAEL AWARENESS WEEK:
High School RallIES
This October, IACS is hosting three 90-minute rallies for high school students in central and northwest Indiana. These events are designed to be both informative and challenging, with two speakers delivering compelling messages that will inspire your students to learn more about Israel.
Abel Taye, the High School Director for Christians United for Israel (CUFI) and an expert in Israeli and American history, will review the events of the October 7 attack, discussing its impact on both Israel and the world.
Dr. Craig Hartman, a Messianic Jew dedicated to reaching Jews for Christ, will explore how Christians should interpret the events of October 7 and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East in light of Biblical prophecy and the return of Christ.
Additionally, we will hear a powerful testimony from Mr. David Kahn, a Jewish man who recently came to faith in Christ, sharing his family's tragic history during the Holocaust. Special music will be provided by cellist Mrs. Maaike Kahn.

GUEST SPEAKERS
Abel Taye serves as the High School Director for Christians United for Israel (CUFI). Guided by his love for foreign policy and American history, he has worked on different international engagement projects that involved policy makers, think tanks, and nonprofits. He was also a CUFI campus chapter leader and advocate. He believes in strong American engagement in the world, especially in the Middle East. Most importantly, he focuses on cultivating and helping American engagement with the Jewish people by creating working partnerships, developing outreach events to faith community leaders and through mentoring young professionals. |
Dr. Craig Hartman, a former attorney, is the founder and Director of the Brooklyn-based Shalom Ministries Inc. Born of Jewish parents and reared in the Bronx and Queens, Dr. Hartman has developed an outreach to the Jewish people that is being effectively implemented in the New York area and overseas. A frequent conference speaker and lecturer, Dr. Hartman has published a book called Through Jewish Eyes in which he explores the Jewish roots of Christianity. Dr. Hartman holds degrees from New York University and The Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City. Dr. Hartman and his wife, Lauri, live in New York and have two adult sons and five grandchildren.
David Kahn is a graduate of the Juilliard School, and alongside his wife, Maaike—who also holds a degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music—they have enjoyed a rich life immersed in music. Prior to putting down roots in Indianapolis, they travelled and worked as professional musicians in San Francisco. Maaike accepted Jesus as her Messiah and Savior a decade ago, and David accepted Jesus as Messiah within the past year, a decision that resonates deeply with his family ties to Israel. Together, they are the joyful and busy parents of four active sons. Today, David is an entrepreneur, running two thriving businesses based in Indiana. The Kahns are active members of Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Indianapolis.
