Become a Member of IACS
The IACS was founded in 1972 and serves approximately 30 schools in the state of Indiana. By joining the IACS, member schools hold concurrent membership with the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS), one of the leading organizations of Christian schools in the country. Dual membership in the IACS/AACS affords schools opportunities for representation and benefits that cannot be leveraged by individual schools on their own.
Membership is open to any school that is in agreement with the IACS purpose statement and can sign without reservation the AACS Statement of Faith included on the membership application. Applications will be considered at any time; however, the membership year coincides with the academic year. Applications, renewals and assessed fees are due in the State Office each September. Schools desiring membership or more information are encouraged to call Dr. Kevin Suiter in the State Office at 317-922-1676.
The Executive Director is available to assist member and prospective member schools especially in the areas of teacher evaluation, teacher certification, school accreditation, and legislative issues. Our goal is to build a strong state association working together for the common good of all schools.

New Member Applications
NEW APPLICANTS must submit three items either by mail or email:
New applications are reviewed by the Board of Directors and may be received at any time, though membership benefits are not applied until all dues are paid for each school year by September 15. Please see the note below about the membership year and payment methods.
- A copy of their church/school's Statement of Faith;
- A completed New School Questionnaire; and,
- A completed application (sent after New School Questionnaire has been reviewed)

Annual Membership Renewals
MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL: September 15 for all schools. Schools that are renewing their membership for the new school year will receive a pre-filled form on or close to September 1 (after enrollment has "settled"). Completed forms are due by September 15.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUES: Dues are $15.00 per every student, every teacher (full and part time), and every administrative staff member (full and part time), and are due by September 15. Student counts should include every student, including those who may be taking only one class. Additionally, home-school students who are participating in athletic competitions, FABA, Fall Music Festival, and/or IOWA testing must be included in your student count as well.
Member schools with a significant number of students on vouchers and are cash-strapped until their first voucher payment arrives may request a deferred payment arrangement in writing with the IACS Office. Requests must be submitted in writing to ExecDir@indianaacs.org and received by September 15. Deferred payments must be paid in full by November 1.

Schools that have not paid their dues by September 15 (or November 1 by prior arrangement) will not be included in the AACS National Directory. (State Offices may use this directory to verify the validity of a school's accreditation or credibility.)

Payment Methods
Two PAYMENT METHODS ARE AVAILABLE:
- ACH Payment (preferred). Please contact your school's bank FIRST about the requirements for ACH payments. Once you have that information, contact Dory Ogden, IACS Secretary, who will provide the rest of the information you need.
- Payment by Check. When paying by check, please mail your payment and written explanation to the IACS Office (address below), Attention IACS Secretary. Include the words "Annual membership dues" in the memo line of the check. Please do not combine your payment with tournament fees, Fall Music Festival registration fees, FABA fees, etc.
