Springfield Christian Academy, Clarkston, MI 
Dr. Philip Alsup leads Springfield Christian Academy in Clarkston, MI, where he has served for 11 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in PreLaw, a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, and a Doctor of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Dr. Alsup has taught and coached at each level of K-12 education and has implemented multiple program improvements including GAFE and BYOD initiatives. He is an adjunct and residential professor with two Christian colleges, teaching professional research, curriculum design, and dissertation development. Dr. Alsup is a published author with the Journal of Research on Christian Education and a presenter at the Virginia Educational Research Association annual conference.

Jodi Arnst is a graduate of Clarks Summit University (Formerly Baptist Bible College) with a degree in Elementary Education and Bible.  After obtaining her degree, she taught several years before working with her family to open an Adult Foster Care Home for the developmentally disabled. Jodi’s brother was the first resident of this Home.  Jodi returned to school and completed  her Master’s degree in Cognitive Impairments from U of M.  Since then she has been working as the Special Needs Coordinator at her alma mater, Genesee Christian School.

WOW SPORTS MINISTRY 
Rev. Brian J. Barton, Sr. has served in the Gospel ministry since 1977 when he graduated from Bob Jones University. Brian served in the field of Christian Education as a principal, supervisor, counselor, Bible teacher, and coach. He also served as the Executive Director of the oldest Braille ministry for the blind in the country. Brian has had the unique opportunity to serve as a Team Chaplain in the world of professional baseball and arena football. Brian is the founder and director of a new ministry, WOW Sports Ministry. The mission of WOW Sports is to encourage all athletes, amateur to professional, to strive for excellence, to stay free from hypocrisy, deceit and wickedness, and to stand “Without Wax” in the full light of God’s approval. Brian is married to Coralyn “Cory” Barton, the author of the new children’s book Creation Stories for Children. Brian and Cory reside in Richmond, Virginia.

My name is Coralyn (Cory) Faith Barton. I was born and raised in a loving Christian home in St. Paul, Minnesota. I currently live in Richmond, Virginia with my husband, Brian, of 37 years. We have two grown children, Katelyn (Katie) and Brian J. II (Jeffrey). By the grace of God and His loving mercy, I am also a breast cancer survivor. For 20 years I taught lower elementary school in the field of Christian education and have spent the past 15 1/2 years working in Corporate America. My time spent teaching gave me an understanding of how children can be taught Biblical principles and values through Bible based stories. My husband is founder and director of WOW Sports Ministry and is chaplain of a professional arena indoor football team.

Brad Batdorf graduated from Bob Jones University in 1985 with a B.S. in Science Education. He completed an M.A.Ed. in Biology at the Citadel in 1988 and an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction at BJU in 2012. In addition to teaching secondary math and science for a number of years, he worked as a naturalist and as a zoo education director for 15 years. He joined BJU Press in 2003 as a secondary science author and has written textbooks and created curriculum resources for chemistry and the life sciences. After serving as Secondary Writers Supervisor for 7 years, he was appointed to a full-time faculty position in the School of Education in 2016. He is currently an assistant professor in the Teacher Education Division and coordinator for the Science Education program.

Dr. Matthew Davis, J.D., lives in Watertown, Wisconsin, where he works full time as Executive Vice President & Corporate Counsel for Maranatha Baptist University serving in leadership over all operational and academic units. Dr. Davis received a Business Management degree from Maranatha and a law degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Illinois, Florida, and Wisconsin. After graduation from Bob Jones University with a bachelor’s degree in English education, Judylynn Walton taught junior high and senior high English and history in Christian schools in Florida and Wisconsin before becoming a secretary for two Christian ministries in Virginia. A popular speaker, she has been a workshop presenter at educators’ conventions, taught a ladies’ Sunday school class, spoken at various women’s events, and assisted with
other local church ministries.
