AACS Youth Legislative DEVEOPMENT Conference (YLDC)
This summer, AACS is hosting rising high school juniors, seniors and recent graduates at The Leadership Institute in Arlington, Virginia for the Youth Legislative Development Conference (YLDC). This unique program will challenge students to view the American political system from a biblical worldview. A recent podcast on AACS Today discusses this name change and their vision for this great conference.
Participating students will have the opportunity to participate in a mock Senate, historic tours, workshops by conservative leaders, amd a day on Capitol Hill featuring a Congressional briefing and meetings with Congressmen. Participation in the Youth Legislative Conference is one of the most rewarding opportunities a politically-minded high school student can experience.
IACS begins receiving applications once information for the upcoming conference is uploaded to the AACS website. Interested students will find all the details they need to know at the AACS website, including what is required for application. Once the application deadline is past, the IACS Office forwards those applications for review by AACS staff in the Washington Office who will select up to two delegates from Indiana.
Please note also that students are responsible for their own transportation costs to and from Washington D.C.
**NOTE: INDIANA'S ANNUAL APPLICATION DEADLINE IS MARCH 25.
