IACS  ATHLETICS:  General  Information

Enrollment-Based Divisions

The Indiana Association of Christian Schools sponsors two tournaments for schools that are members of IACS. Non-member schools are not eligible for participation.
Two Divisions are available for Girls' Volleyball and Boys' Basketball provided there is a minimum of four (4) participating schools in each. Divisions are based on school enrollment in grades 9-12. Division I is forty (40) or more senior high students; Division II is thirty-nine (39) or fewer senior high students. Division II schools may choose to move up to Division I.

Homeschool Policy

Home-schooled students may participate on IACS school athletic teams if they are enrolled in one class at the member school or they regularly attend the school's sponsoring church. (A school without a sponsoring church or with multiple sponsoring churches must choose a single church they want recognized. The school's annual IACS membership dues must include the dues for the home-school student(s). After the deadline for submitting dues, no home-school student(s) may be added without permission from the IACS Athletic Committee or the IACS Board. The maximum number of home-school students on a soccer team is five (5) and the maximum number on  a basketball or volleyball team is three (3).

Online Score Reporting

All schools registered to participate in an IACS Tournament are requested to use MaxPreps for score reporting during the regular season.  Scores should be updated weekly and will be accessible to the Athletic Committee for seeding the tournaments.  If your school is not already using MaxPreps, click here to get started.  You may create one account for your school or each coach may create a separate account.
